Plagarism.

Learn from your daughter that her classmate has made the regrettable choice to flagrantly plagiarize her response to one of the short essay questions for their summer reading assignment – responses that must be posted to a particular school webpage for the rest of the class to see. She seeks your advice in the matter. On the one hand, this conduct is a breach of the school code of ethics and also total BS, since your daughter worked hard on that assignment. On the other hand, nobody likes a snitch. You ask a few questions. “Is this one of the popular girls?”

“What does that have to do with anything?”

“If I’m going to counsel you in this matter, I’ll need all the available information. After all, this is guerrilla warfare, also known as seventh grade.”
