I’m gonna sound like a Grinch here, but this keeps happening to me (like once a week) and it’s driving me a little crazy. I’m totally down with the whole random acts of kindness making the world more awesome and whatnot. I really am. But when I’m in a Starbucks drive thru line, it’s pretty safe to assume that I have the means to pay entirely too much for my coffee. So while it’s nice that you paid for me, the gesture is kinda wasted on a dude who doesn’t need the help. You know who – among countless others – could probably use that cash more? The dude who handed you the coffee.
