Erin: you have many talents, but plumbing is not one of them.
Me: well *you* have many talents, but . . . um . . . talking in a pretend British accent is not one of them.
Erin: Okay. So you would therefore be right to criticize me if I were attempting to use my lousy British accent to effectuate repairs to the sump and pipes of our marine aquarium.
Me: And *you* would be right to criticize *me* if I . . . uh . . . hold on, I can do this . . . Something to do with my plumbing skills and bangers and mash.
Erin: . . .
Me: Plumbing, bangers and mash. Oh man, it’s like right there. I can almost taste it.
Erin: so, you agree that we’ll get a professional to deal with the aquarium.
Me: Bangers and pipes? Plumbing and mash?
Erin: I’m glad that’s settled.
Me: yeah . . . Wait, what?
